Udhampur, Aug 23: With its construction work started about 11 years back bridge over Kandoli rivulet in Mongri Tehsil of district Udhampur is yet to be completed and about 70,000 people from a dozen Panchayats of udhampur , Reasi area are bearing the brunt of this lackadaisical attitude of those at the helm”, said Hans raj Sarpanch halqa damnot. When contacted XEN PMGSY Gulam Rasool Reasi divison said that the work was with PWD till the year 2014 and PMGSY took over it in the year 2018.
“While we were to start the work the earlier Contactor secured a court stay and now we are waiting for the stay to be cleared to restart the work on the bridge,” he maintained. However, the locals are facing problems in crossing the rivulet in this rainy season and many videos have gone viral on social media even two day old a Video showing difficulties faced by the public in reaching their destinations and crossing the rivulet .
