| Deputation of JKSAC calls on Provincial Rehabilitation Officer | | |

Jammu, Aug 28: A joint deputation of JK Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKYSAC) and Bharat Vikas Morcha (BVM), Jammu & Kashmir under the leadership of Pt RC Sharma (Journalist, RTI & Peace Activist) met with the Custodian cum Ex-officio Provincial Rehabilitation Officer (PRO) Jammu and discussed several issues pertaining to PoK refugees and pending cases of compensation under the PM rehabilitation package amounting Rs 5.50 lakh.
As per the press note, Sharma enquired about the status of pending cases of PoK refugees’ compensation cases and asked to immediate dispose of all the cases as applicants are suffering and could not make the rounds of the office. He also asked the PRO to entertain all those applications who are shifted outside the state in search of bread and butter after getting the registration with our administration. He urged the PRO to clear all disputed cases which are having very small dispute and falling under his jurisdiction.
Sharma expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of the record in his office as this is only record of the POK refugees and advised him to immediate computerize the record. He further urged the PRO to issue a smart card to the progenies of PoK refugees mention their family number as per A-Form as it will be evidence to be a genuine member of PoK refugees families as the next generation will suffer as it could not be provided.
The PRO told the deputationist that there is no pending case in his office except 155 cases which are having dispute. He also assured the deputationist that he ie very particular about the problems of PoK refugees and any person having any problem can approach him in his office on any working day subject to his presence in the office.
The deputation included Dr ML Sharma, Jaspal Singh, Krishan Sharma, Dr Vimal Sharma and Krishan Sharma. |
