Poonch, AUG 29: Concerned contractor in nexus with Junior Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer and Executive Engineer of Public Works (R&B) Department has used sub-standard material in black topping of the road from Fatehpur to Danna Dhakra road at least for the first two kilometers.
The locals accused PWD department of negligence and carelessness towards general masses and said how much commission was taken by department to pass such a substandard work. The black topping of the said road was destroyed within a week time of its completion, locals informed.
It is pertinent to mention that all contractors are answerable for three years in case of damage to black topping, but the contractor is careless which seems that there is someone backing him in the concerned office, locals said.
Although the locals have filed their grievance in Lieutenant Governor's Grievance Cell 20 days before vide grievance number 999001479955 but they are still waiting for action. They also accused government for its negligence and this portal of Awaz e Awam for not taking serious not in any of the public grievance. They have appeal to Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene personally into the matter and constitute a team of neutral officials to investigate the matter. |
