Jammu, Oct 2: Stephens College of Nursing under the aegis of Dr. Aparna Educational Trust organized an online national level webinar on the eve of World Heart Day.
The inaugural guest of the webinar was Dr. Kamal Saini, IPS (IGP Retd.) Chairman Stephens College of Nursing. He congratulated the Management, Faculty members and Students for organizing such a wondrous webinar.
Satvinder Saini (Director SIPS) also appreciated the management, faculty members and student of Stephens College of Nursing for attaining such a great accomplishment. The webinar is first of its type organized by any Nursing College in J&K.
The theme of the webinar was ‘Use Heart for the Society and loved one and you.’ Huge participation from different Institutions and Universities was the salient feature of the webinar. The participants attended the webinar with zeal and enthusiasm.
The first session of the webinar commenced with the warm welcome speech by Ms. Joyce B. Singh (Assistant Professor SCON) which was followed by a remarkable speech of Prof. Muni Dhar (Principal SCON). She inspired everyone to stay healthy. She in her speech deliberated on the main motto of conducting this webinar is to cognizant people to adopt healthy lifestyle and present yourself from the Cardiac diseases.
The first session led to a great success. The eminent speakers Mrs. Anushi Singh(Associate Professor CHN Nursing SNSR Sharda University and Mrs. Kavita Rana (Assistant Professor Stephens College of Nursing) took the lead on the first day of the webinar which was conducted on 29th Sept 2020. They explained about Congenital Cardiac diseases in pregnancy in the form of presentation & lecture. It was informative and knowledge propgating.
The second day of the session was held on 30th Sept 2020 with a positive and enthusiastic response of the attendees. The numbers of attendees increased proportionately at a very rapid pace. The second session was led by the renowned speakers Mrs. Sonam Sharma (Assistant Professor SCON) and Mrs. Poonam Paul (Assistant Professor Govt. Nursing College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu).They explained about Cardiovascular diseases and its Nursing management and effect of hypertension and diabetes over Heart very impressively and in a lucid way.
The final day of the session was held on 01 Oct 2020. It was an incredible session. It was commenced by Ms. Gagan Sharma( Assistant Professor Army college of Nursing, Jalandhar) and speaker Mrs. Shabnam Masih of International repute. Both presented their presentation in a very majestic way that session was great learning experience for all attendees. They made everyone cognizant about the very relevant copies of the present time i.e. COVID -19 and Heart disease and they abreast the health care professionals about the approach for specialized treatment for Heart disease clients.
