Wife among four get life sentence, one acquitted in murder case in Udhampur

Udhampur, Oct 12: In a landmark judgment towards streamlining criminal justice system ,Additional Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur S.R Gandhi today settled a 7 -year-old murder case by awarding life imprisonment to four accused namely Vicky Kumar Son of Munshi Ram ,Rano Devi wife of Munshi Ram ,Neelu Devi Wife of Sunny Kumar and Lakshmi Devi daughter of Munshi Ram for there involment in murder of one Sunny Kumar . Court also acquitted Neeru Devi wife of Vicky kumar residents of Sui Udhampur in the case as prosecution fail to prove case against her .
According to facts of the prosecution case in brief are that on 29.04.2013 deceased had gone to his in-laws-house at Sui and all the accused persons which include wife of deceased Neelu Devi were present in the house . On reaching, deceased had hot exchanges with the accused persons. In the meantime all the accused persons in furtherance of common object tied the hands of the deceased from behind with a rope and killed him with Danda and thrown body in field after wrapping it in tripal .
After the incident police received information and registered case under section 117 /2013 under section 302/ 120-B/ 201 /34 RPC against accused and started investigation and later challan was presented in the court of Additional session judge Udhampur.
