JAMMU, Oct 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government has accorded sanction of construction of three New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) in three districts of Jammu division.
The three new type primary health centre is to be constructed in Doda, Rajouri and in Jammu city at an estimated cost of more than 10 Crore rupees. The order in this regards has been issued by Health&Medical Education department, Financial Commissioner Atul Dulloo.
As per the order, the structural design of three NTPHC is got authenticated and proof checked by the competent authorities well before the execution of the works and while designing the latest HFL is also taken into consideration for flood-prone areas.
While the work is executed strictly as per the details as encumbrance free land is available for execution of the works. Also e-tendering mode is followed for fixation of award of contract for execution of the project and working DIPR is followed in the formation of BOQ for e-tendering purpose of the project.
An official said that as of now the Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction; the work is yet to be commenced. The new type primary health centre in three districts of Jammu will definitely help locals in tackling health issues.
“Also, the main reason behind building three new type primary health centre is to upgrade existing health infrastructure and most importantly in far-flung areas, where people have to travel a long distance to even get a basic treatment”, he added.
He added that the new type primary health centre is expected to have modern equipment’s and we are expecting it to be completed in minimum possible time. While the new type primary health centre will be constructed at Bhaira Bhaderwah, Doda, Panjara Rajouri and at Domana Jammu.
