| Training imparted to ROs, AROs at Doda | | |

DODA, Oct 12: One day training was imparted to Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), on the direction of District Panchayat Election Officer, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, ahead of Panchyat by- polls.
The ROs and AROs were imparted training by the District level Master Trainers, Phulail Singh, BDO Bhalla and Adil Iqbal, Dy. Registrar Cooperative Doda.
Elaborate and detailed guidance, on poll procedure, nominations, scrutiny withdrawal of candidature, allotment of symbols, poll day and after poll procedure and Model Code of Conduct was given to trainees.
Deputy District Election Officer, Doda Idrees Lone, while speaking to the ROs and AROs stressed on them to minutely go through the handbook/ manual and take every step thoughtfully for smooth conduct of the bye- election.
It is pertinent to mention here that 17 sarpanch seats and 26 panch seats are lying vacant in the district. However, all the positions of BDC chairpersons have been filled in the previous BDC elections. |
