Jammu, Oct 18: Today activists of Dogra Youth paid tribute to the Student Martyrs of 1966, namely S. Gurcharan Singh, Brij Mohan, Subash Chander and Gulshan Handa who laid down their lives to protect the dignity and honour of the Jammu Region.
Young Poltical Activist, Partap Singh Jamwal, Bhanu Partap Singh Goria, Nikhil Sharma & Arun Mehra said that the student martyrs of 1966 are the inspiration for us who laid down their lives while fighting for the rights of the people of Jammu region. They said that it is due to their martyrdom that today Jammu has separate SKUAST-J, Govt Medical College. They said that the young generation of Dogra region especially the student community is required to learn about their sacrifice and should get inspiration from their martyrdom.
Dogra Youth demanded that the rename of Jammu colleges in the memory of 1966 student martyrs and paid tributes to the student martyrs of 1966, who had sacrificed their lives for the Jammu cause. |
