10/18/2020 11:53:04 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Oct 18: Working on directions of a particular political party, Apni Party Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh today alleged that the administration has forgotten the common man leading to underdevelopment in Purkhoo, Domana and poor road connectivity.
“The underdeveloped localities are the glaring example of official negligence of the people who are left to the mercy of God. The lanes and drains are poorly maintained by the administration,” alleged Manjit Singh.
Manjit Singh was appraised about the lack of basic amenities in Purkhoo and other adjoining areas of Jammu district by the locals and panchayat members.
The people alleged that their concern is not taken into consideration by the administration and preferring working for the welfare of the people affiliated with a political party.
On hearing their concerns, Manjit Singh said that the administration should work for all the people and there should not be discrimination of the people on the ground that they do not belong to a political party.
“We strongly oppose the attitude of the administration and appeal to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for his intervention. The people are being allegedly discriminated against and the localities where the voters of a party do not live are being neglected with respect to the developmental activities,” alleged Manjit Singh.
He said that the administration should ensure proper road connectivity, electricity and clean drinking water to the people and all other basic amenities which are essential for the people to live in a society.
Speaking on the occasion, State Coordinator of Schedule Caste, Bodh Raj Bhagat said that the Schedule Caste areas and other neglected sections of the society are facing the official negligence of the administration.
“The Apni Party has commitment towards the welfare of the Schedule Caste, Other Backward Caste, Schedule Tribe and other deprived communities. There is no discrimination among the people on the name of caste, creed, colour, region or religion in our Party. We are one in the Apni Party and work for the unity of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Bhagat.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Pranav Shagotra, Shanker Singh Chib, Ex-Sarpanch, Shamsher Singh Chib, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Naib Sarpanch, Subash Singh, Panch Kuldeep Singh, Jugdish Raj Seth, Caption Laqyat Ali,Karan Singh (Kali), Dia Krishan, among others.
