Gupkar declaration as mere propaganda to misuse innocent Kashmiris: Parneesh
10/18/2020 11:57:07 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 18: Parneesh Mahajan, Convenor, Department of Training, J&K BJP criticised the Gupkar Alliance aliened by the mainstream political parties of Kashmir for the restoration of special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued here today, the senior BJP leader said that by signing the Gupkar Declaration, these Kashmir centric political parties have joined hands to befool the people of Valley once again for their own political survival since they have lost trust of people. Basically these political leaders have for the last 70 years looted the state’s resources over diverse fronts.
Terming the Gupkar declaration as anti-national, Mahajan said people of Jammu and Kashmir have nothing to do with this agenda. They want peace, brotherhood and development of the Union Territory. He termed People’s Alliance for Gupkar declaration as a mere propaganda so as to once again misuse the innocent Kashmiris. The people of Valley need to understand that as to why these political parties have come on the same page against their principles. “People should know the cheap politics and signatories who are lingering on their heads,” he said.
“To maintain the dynasty rule and their own goodwill, the Valley based mainstream parties like National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party has divided people of Kashmir on various fronts and after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) they have come up with a new tactic to deceive the masses to continue their cheap legacy,” the BJP leader said.
“Articles 370 and 35A gave Jammu & Kashmir nothing but separatism-terrorism and rampant corruption in the systems. Both these articles were being used by Pakistan as a weapon to provoke the feelings of some people against the country.
After the abrogation of these articles, the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh will not only improve their present, but also their future will be secure,” he said, regretting that in the past 70 years, Abdullahs and Muftis of Kashmir brazenly looted J&K and people were deprived of the right of equitable growth and development.
Mahajan cautioned the Gupkar Alliance signatories to shun their cheap politics and work for the peace, progress and development of the Union Territory. “Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti should accept that abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir will not be reversed and help people to move forward,” he added.
