Youth denied Ration Card, faces problem in getting domicile certificate

UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: Locals in Panchayat Jakhard in Latti area of Udhampur have alleged wrong doings by the ration dealer there who has become habitual of misbehaving even with elders. One Pritam Singh of Panchayat Jakhard said his ration card was cancelled by the authorities due to some reasons as he was informed by his dealer in 2019.
"After that I was told that the portal of the department was non-functional and when it start the ration card will be restored," he informed.
He also said that six months back someone from the department told him that his card is ready but due to lockdown he was unable to get it and was consequently denied ration benefits.
"It was only in August month that my Sarpanch told me that my ratio card is ready and ration was also available but yesterday when my family member going for taken the ration then concern dealer refused to given the ration and said your ration card canceled and after some time when I have asked to dealer about the ration card and he misbehave with me " he further said.
He claimed that he is an MA & B. Ed and has to get a job for which he is visiting offices to get a domicile certificate but same is also denied to him due to not having a ration card.
He also claimed that his BPL ration card was issued to someone else who live in another panchayat.
When contacted TSO concerned said just four days back formalities of this youth came to him and he has taken additional charge of this area only two months back.
The TSO said that within four days ration card will be given to pritam.
