10/30/2020 11:50:20 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 30: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded restoration of statehood and high-speed (4G) internet for Jammu and Kashmir. More than a year since the August 5 decision last year. We demand that the central government should restore J&K's statehood, the Aam Aadmi Party said.
In a joint statement Mehar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Sher Singh and NP Singh said, Education, business and other sectors services have been badly affected due to non-availability of high-speed internet in Jammu & Kashmir.
Central Government and State administration are giving unjustified reasons for keeping high-speed internet shut. 2G services being made available on 4G rates from last more than a year. why don't the Government direct the Telecom Companies to charge 2G price for 2G internet speed as only 2G service is being provided to the customers? Isn't it a travesty of justice, a double whammy that on the one side, we are being deprived of internet speed and on the other hand being made to pay for 4G services while being provided with 2G services only?, they said. The Aam Aadmi Party, said that Central government must restore the statehood to J&K at the earliest so that democratic activities would resume and Jammu and Kashmir shall get its equal share at all fronts. Those who were present in the meeting are Ravi Shastri, Mehar Singh Sudan, Rajesh Bali, NP Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Sher Singh, Sewak Singh, Anita Nargotra, Madhu Kour, Tilak Raj, R S Lakhotra, Rahil Mahajan, Rasvinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Sukhjinder Singh, Charanjeet kour, Kuljeet kour, Prithipal Singh, Narinder Pal Singh, Liyaqat Ali etc.
