Building Operation and Controlling Authority for BDA clears 16 cases

DODA, Nov 2: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D. Doifode, today chaired a meeting of Building Operations and Controlling Authority (BOCA) for Bhaderwah Development Authority and cleared sixteen cases.
Chief Executive Officer, BDA (Member Secretary, BOCA) Dr Rajinder Kr. Khajuria, Senior Town Planner Jammu, SE PWD (R&B) Doda, DFO Bhaderwah as members and EO Municipal Committee Bhaderwah -Co-opted member attended the meeting. Out of 37 cases, the Building Operation and Controlling Authority, cleared 16 cases including 10 cases of PMAY, 03 cases of Residential permissions and 03 cases of renovation were approved. Three cases under Residential Permissions were kept pending for want of certain clarifications. While discussing other agenda points, it was decided that BDA shall prepare the complete data base with regard to various hotels, guest houses etc constructed illegally or without permission or before the establishment of Bhaderwah Development Authority and same shall be placed before the BOCA in next meeting for further appropriates. It was also decided to have a uniform colour coding for all the PMAY houses besides to make it mandatory to use colour GI sheets on roofs of all approved buildings, which is essential from tourism point of view. Further, henceforth, all building permissions issued by MC Bhadarwah needs to have counter approval from Building Operation and Controlling Authority of Bhadarwah Development Authority. Directions were issued by the Chair to circulate the list of rejected cases to EO MC Bhadarwah and all BDOs and Tehsildars so as to ensure that illegal constructions are not permitted within their respective jurisdictions as there is need to regulate construction in Bhaderwah from the tourism point of view.
