Cong makes direct attack on BJP; indirectly targets ‘partners’ NC, PDP
11/23/2020 11:51:28 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 23: Congress on Monday directly attacked BJP but made an indirect attack on its ‘partners’ National Conference (NC) and PDP for sharing power with the Saffron Party in Kargil.
Led by NC, in the Kargil Hill Development Council the only BJP member is also indirectly supporting the Council which is also supported by PDP.
As BJP at national level has stepped up attack on Congress for, what it alleged, supporting ‘anti-national Gupkar Gang’, the Congress today exposed the Saffron Party for its duplicity on sharing power with NC and PDP.
Congress questioned double standards of the BJP, as “the party is sharing power with PDP and NC in the Kargil Hill Council contrary to its public posturing against patriotic credentials of two of its alliance partners in the Hill Council with an attempt to exploit the sentiments of the people”.
After the NC break-up alliance with Congress in the month of June 2019 following the defeat of party candidate on Ladakh Lok Sabha seat, the arch rival PDP had supported the NC. The lone BJP member is also indirectly supporting the NC.
“BJP should explain its position and should have come out of the Coalition Government before questioning other parties especially Congress party, which is only limited to electoral seat sharing at few places in J&K without being part of the alliance” JKPCC Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said.
Sharma said that BJP always befool and exploit people for electoral gains while reminding in 2014 elections BJP not only mainly campaigned to stop PDP from coming to power and secured mandate from Jammu at this slogan, but later shared power with the same party for almost over three years betraying the mandate of the people.
