DDS Bishnah takes up issues of border people of Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 8: Dogra Sadar Sabha Units of tehsils Bishnah & Arnia held a meeting today at its office at Bishnah, in which besides office bearers of the units, a large member of prominent persons Including Sarpanches, Panches, Nambardars & Chowkidars participated. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former minister and president of Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K was the Chief Guest in the specially convened meeting.
The local leaders, present on the occasion, projected the problems they are facing under the persistent threat of cross border firing, unemployment among the educated youths, lack of irrigational facilities and Drug menace among the locals. Charak while addressing the gathering showed his deep concern about the constant firing from across the border and loss of human lives and damage to the property particularly after the abrogation of article 370 and 35A, highlighted the suffering of the people living near the border and demanded from central and State Govts to take adequate measures to protect their life and property providing more bunkers/safe shelters in the border belt. The former minister further sought a separate package of recruitment for the youths of the Whole border area and adequate Compensation for losses or damage of Crops due to cross border firing.
