Congress misleading farmers, stoking fear over farm bills: Kavinder
12/8/2020 11:35:16 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Dec 8: There are umpteen moves and policy decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central dispensation which show the seriousness of the BJP towards addressing the concerns of farmers but Congress and other parties through their fallacious propaganda misleading the community by triggering fear psychosis.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta while addressing number of public rallies in Chatta area in city outskirts in connection with DDC polls, here on Tuesday.
Terming the delusive tactics of Congress as ‘detrimental’ to society and the country, he said the hoax created by the opposition through swaying innocent farmer fraternity by making them believe that government is working against their interests will soon be exposed and the sparse number of misguided tiller community members who have joined the Congress activists’ deceptive campaign shall realize and return back to their homes and hearths.
The former Dy Chief Minister said that there are number of schemes and policies which PM Modi has crafted exclusively for the farmers of the country to bail out the community from the misery that was forced on them by the wrong policies of previous Congress governments that ruled and ruined the nation continuously for over 70 years with only focus on attaining personal wealth and betraying countrymen brutally and brazenly. He said that BJP government’s steps towards farming community are solely meant for doubling their income as soon as possible by removing all the bottlenecks coming in the way.
The BJP stalwart said that with an intention to protect the interests of farmers, BJP government has brought farm bills but the opposition parties have been trying to mislead the farming community with false statements. “Neither MSP will be removed nor farmers will be meted out injustice by these bills,” he said and added that it is necessary to create awareness among the general public and farmers about the amendments.
“It is hypocritical of Congress to protest farm laws as they passed the Contract Farming Act while they were in power.
The party has even mentioned introduction of these laws in its manifesto”, he said adding that now the Congress leaders are seeking revocation of the same just to exploit the emotions of innocent farmers.
