JAMMU, Dec 13: International fencing referee of Jammu and Kashmir, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary has been nominated as a member of Talent Identification Development Committee (TIDC) Khelo India Development Programme.
Khelo India Talent Identification Cell, has nominated Choudhary as a member of TIDC (Fencing) of the Khelo India Development Programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The roles and responsibilities of a member of TIDC as per the official letter are identification of Tournament/Competitions, to recommend the final list of players for the talent support, to decide talent identification methodology and parameters (eg. target age group) to achieve excellence at the Olympics 2024, 2028 and beyond, to recommend methodology for talent tracking software/equipment/coaching support/services of any other domain specific experts, to conduct performance review of the players periodically; to meet the ends of this purpose, this will ultimately lead to retention/weeding out of an Athlete |
