UT level Cycling Championship for Distt Jammu concludes

JAMMU, Dec 13: UT level Cyling Championship for District Jammu concluded today successfully. This championship was organized under the banner of J&K Sports Council & Cycling Federation of India and under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma the Chairman Affiliation Committee, Indian Olympic Association, President J&K Olympic Association and under the supervision of JKCA President Ravinder Singh, S.S Gill General Secretary, Ravi Salgotra Treasurer. On this occasion JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta was the chief guest and Sahil Ji Maharaj J&K UT President Bhartiya Modi Army was present as special guest. Besides Additional Secretary Agriculture, Pankaj Magotra was invited as special invitee.
In under- 12 Age (Boys) group, Nowman Arshad Wani stood 1st, Shivansh Jain clinched 2nd Place and Mandar Mehta twon 3rd position, while in under-14 age (Boys) group Tanmeet Singh Randhawa bagged 1st position, Saransh Mehra 2nd position and Kitan Saini clinched 3rd position, in Junior (Boys) Ayush K. Sharma stood 1st while Rajveer Singh-2nd place and Nipun Anand bagged 3rd place, in under 14 Age (Girls) Navya Sanmotra stood 1st, Bhavya Sharma clinched 2nd position, Senior (Boys) Anish Dubey stood 1st , Manav Radha clinched 2nd position and Rajveer Singh bagged 3rd place.
Later Mayor Chander Mohan distributed prizes among the winners and appreciated the participants and the JKCA for organizing such events amid Covid- panedemic to keep the youth in good stead. Speaking on the occasion Mayor assured the association that he will make every efforts for laying down cycling track on along the Jammu City to motivate a younger generation towards Cycling game.
