EArly Times Report

UDHAMPUR, Dec 17: The class of development J&K has witnessed in these six years of BJP in power; it had never witnessed before.
This was stated by former Dy Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta while addressing a DDC election campaign rally at Ramnagar. Ex MLA Ramnagar, R.S Pathania was also present.
Kavinder said that holding of District Development Council (DDC) Elections in the unrest and strikes ridden UT of Jammu and Kashmir is a big achievement for the BJP led Government at the Center and UT administration. Although all the phases of DDC elections so far have been conducted peacefully, he said. “It is a big success for the Modi led government. BJP has succeeded in bringing peace and prosperity in J&K,” he said.
The senior BJP leader said that DDC elections are being conducted in the UT for the first time and these are the major elections being held after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A). “Besides freeing the J&K from the developmental hurdle, BJP has brought J&K on the track of development and growth. Enormous welfare schemes have been launched by the Central Government and the UT administration for the overall good of people,” BJP leader said.
“While BJP in J&K UT has taken the UT towards a new horizon. Developmental projects comprised of establishment of AIIMS, IIT, IIM, Bridges, hydroelectric projects, expansion of Jammu Airport and many more are the factual witness of the truth that was prevailed by the Modi led government,” Kavinder said, adding that all these initiatives were with due to bold steps taken by Prime Minister Modi.
Kavinder said that BJP has shown successive regimes in J&K what real development and peace means and with the due success of DDC polls, J&K would witness a stunning strengthening of democracy from the grass root level. “People have in huge numbers supported and voted BJP in these polls and the party hoped that in future, the BJP will have due support of the masses since we have been working tirelessly for the welfare of masses for the last 6 years and will continue to serve the public,” he added.
