GDC Akhnoor organizes online slogan writing competition 12/17/2020 11:16:27 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 17: Department of Philosophy, Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor organised an online slogan writing and poster making activity under the patronship of the principal of the college Dr. Namrata. The themes of the activity included the issues falling under the domain of Applied Ethics as euthanasia , capital punishment , animal rights and environmental conservation.It is worth mentioning here that Applied Ethics forms part of the curriculum and is taught under Skill Enhancement Course. The students of the department participated actively with a lot of enthusiasm as they could relate the themes easily with their syllabus and day to day life. The principal of the college urged the students to follow ethical conduct in their lives to become better human beings. She endorsed the need to inculcate ethical behaviour in students as it is the sense of right and wrong in human beings which distinguishes them from non - human animals.
