12/17/2020 11:27:34 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

KATHUA, Dec 17: Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections, Anurag Singh Thakur, has stated, Gupkar alliance was doing politics of destruction instead of development in Jammu and Kashmir and on the other hand the Modi government, which is known for good governance and development, has taken the state on the path of progress.
Former State President Sat Sharma, State Vice President and District In-Charge Yudhveer Sethi and other BJP leaders were also addressing the election rally held at Keedian Gandyal, Basantpur along with Anurag Thakur.
Anurag Thakur said, “In the last 70 years, the Abdullah-Mufti family and Congress have worked only to deceive Jammu and Kashmir. There was the responsibility of development on the shoulders of those people but they did nothing else than destruction. They only cared for personal development and plunged the state into the fire of ruin, terrorism, anarchy and separatism. The Modi government has healed the wounds of Jammu and Kashmir and has created an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the state.
The Modi government is known only for good governance and development.”
Speaking further, he said “The government has so far completed construction of 1858 roads and 84 bridges of 11,517 km length under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Jammu and Kashmir. Villages were connected by roads.
The work done by the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir in 5 years was not done by these people in 70 years. 3261 roads and 243 bridges have been approved for a total of 1961 kilometers of Jammu and Kashmir while Rs 3750 crore for construction of ring road in Jammu and Srinagar, Basoli-Bani-Bhadarwah road.”
He said that Jammu and Kashmir was kept in darkness for decades. Light reached only a few families earlier, but now, every resident of Jammu and Kashmir is bright and voting only for development.
