Jammu, Dec. 21: Jammu Vishal Cricket club defeated United Cricket Academy by 5 wickets in the inaugural match of the Under-17 Christmas Cricket Championship which is being played at Landran Cricket Ground (Kharar) Mohali.
Batting first United Cricket Academy Fatehgarh won the toss and elected to bat first .Batting first United Cricket Academy Fatehgarh scored 213 runs for all wickets in 38.1 overs. Saksham Singla scored 84 runs with 12 boundaries and one six while Harshal Gupta scored 39 runs. From the bowling side Krishana Sharma and Arnav Gupta took 3 wickets each, while Sachin took 2 wickets for the team.
In reply Jammu Vishal Cricket Club chased the target in 30 overs by losing 5 wickets thus won the match by 5 wickets. Rohan Gill scored 56 runs with 8 boundaries and 1 six, while Jaanveer Singh 38 and Dhruv Sharma 32 were the other scorers. From the bowling side Manas Gupta took 2 wickets, kavish verma took 1 wicket.
Arnav Gupta of Jammu Vishal Cricket Club declared as man of the match.
It needs to mention here that the tour for the Jammu boys is being arranged by the Senior Cricketers of J&K and Members of the Indian Cricket Association in association with Vishal Cricket Club Jammu with the objective to provide platform to the J&K Cricketers so that they can exhibit their cricket talents and to improve their match temperament while playing with other state players.
It needs to mention here that the Jammu Team will play four league matches of 40 overs game with the three different cricket teams which includes United Cricket Academy Fatehgarh, Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh and Cricket Bash Academy Panchkula.
The supporting staff of the Jammu Vishal Cricket Club includes Avinash Uttam as Mentor, Ankush Sharma as Coach whereas Davinder Sharma, Rajinder Sharma and Raj Singh Khadyal are the Managers in the supporting staff.
The members of the Jammu Vishals Under-17 Cricket are :
Rohan Gill (Captain), Achintiya Khajuria (Vice Captain), Arnav Gupta, Shouraya Sharma, Vansh Khadyal, Danish Gupta, Arman Sharma, Krishana Sharma, Sarvan Gupta, Dhruv Gupta, Kinshuk Mahajan, Jahanveer Singh ,Vansh Sharma and Sachin.
