Fire & Emergency deptt conducts mock drill at DC office complex Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Dec 21: To sensitise the staff of various departments and public in general about an unforeseen emergency situation like fire and earthquake, Department of Fire and Emergency services Kishtwar under the overall supervision of District Magistrate (Chairman DDMA) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today conducted a mock drill and evacuation exercise here in the premises of DC complex Kishtwar .
A demonstration of using fire safety equipments was also given by the experts from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Incharge fire and emergency services Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Mir sensitized the staff ,officers and others about life saving and rescue techniques in case of fire and other emergencies.
The drill was organised to check the readiness of the department to face any such emergency during any natural calamity and also to make the staff aware about the fire fighting and rescue operation and its procedures.
The DM Kishtwar lauded the efforts of the Fire & Emergency Services Department in spreading rescue and relief awareness by conducting the mock drill and asked them to conduct such excercises regularly across the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain besides other district officers and officials were present on the occasion.
