DPEO Kishtwar holds meetings with contesting candidates

KISHTWAR, Dec 21: District Panchayat Election Officer, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today sought the cooperation of all the political parties and contesting candidates in the peaceful conduct of Counting of DDC votes to be held tomorrow. He informed that the counting would be held at 6 locations in District Kishtwar
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar; Assistant commissioner Revenue Dr Amir Hussain; Chief Accounts Officer GP Fund Office, Irfan Majeed; Deputy DEO Masood Ahmed Bichoo; Assistant Labour Commissioner Anoop Kumar; Tehsildars, ROs, AROs, besides candidates representatives and agents of various political parties were present in the meeting. Lauding the political parties and candidates for their cooperation in successful completion of DDC/ Panchayat- By Election’s, the DPEO expected similar support for the smooth conduct of counting .
The DPEO informed that counting of votes for Warwan and Marwah DDC constituencies would be held at HSS Yourdu Mawah, for DDC constituency Dachhan at HSS Sounder Dachhan; for DDC constituency Paddar at CFC building Paddar; for DDC constituencies Inderwal,Thakrie and Mughal maidan at TRC building Chatroo; for Nagseni, Palmar, Kishtwar and Trigam DDC Constituencies at KV Kishtwar; while the counting of votes for 3 constituencies namely Bounjwah,Drabshalla A and Drabshalla B will be held at GDC Kishtwar. He said that all logistics and security arrangements have been made.
He further elaborated the guidelines for counting and cleared all doubts and apprehensions of the candidates and their representatives.
He also asked all to follow COVID-19 guidelines including wearing face mask and maintaining social distancing in and around the counting centres during entire counting process.
