Series of programmes held across district Ramban
Release of 7th installment of PM-KISAN scheme

RAMBAN, Dec 25: District Administration Ramban in collaboration with the Agriculture Department today organized various programmes on the release of the 7th installment of financial benefit to the farmers under the PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ramban, Harbans Lal Sharma presided over the programme held at district headquarter. The similar programmes were also held at Block as well as Panchyat level where live telecast of release of 7th installment was screened. CAO, Farooq Ahmed, CHO, VK Gupta, DSHO, Dr. Vikas Gupta, CAHO, Dr. Satveer Singh, AD Fisheries, Manager Lead Bank, various officers from other departments, PRIs and farmers participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion ADC said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the latest installment of financial benefit to the farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The amount exceeds Rs 18,000 crore and it will be delivered to over 90 million beneficiaries via direct benefit transfer across the country. In the district 34882 farmers have been benefited under the schemes, he added.
Pertinent to mention here that under the PM-KISAN scheme, a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to small and marginal farmers, payable in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. The fund is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
Meantime various District and Sectoral officers of different allied departments highlighted the schemes of their respective departments besides impressing upon farmers to reap the benefit of the same.
They also elaborated the benefits of policies devised by the government for the upliftment of farmers besides doubling their income from agriculture and other allied activities.
