Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Dec 29: Over a dozen political activists today joined the Apni Party here in Vijaypur in Samba district.
The joining programme was organised under the leadership of Former Minister and Apni Party Provincial President, Manjit Singh in which prominent political activists joined the party after being impressed with the policies of the party.
Ex-Congress leader Gambir Singh, and Rakesh Sharma, who contested DDC elections as independent candidate alongwith others joined the Party.
Welcoming them into the party fold, the Former Minister Manjit Singh said that the people have expectations from the Apni Party for his public welfare policies and commitment for the restoration of statehood.
"There is growing concern over delay to the statehood and in-absence of the elected Govt in J&K. The people are in despair since no one listens to their grievances," said Manjit Singh after interacting with the new comers in the Party.
He said that the people are generally concerned about unemployment and sinking private sector jobs. "Competition in the Govt jobs has increased and the private sector is also not doing well from last one year. The People are concerned about the employment and security of jobs for their future generation," he said.
He said that urged the Govt of India to restore Statehood to J&K so that the confidence of the people can be restored.
"The GoI should hold assembly polls in J&K and restore the statehood. The feeling among the people is that they always stood for the country and still, they are not being trusted by the Govt," said Manjit Singh and added that the Govt should restore 4G speed mobile internet.
He said that there is a feeling of disempowerment among the people and villages in Samba often worried about the land they were cultivating for decades. "The border residents and villagers have a growing sense of insecurity and therefore, the Govt should take a decision regarding land rights in their favour," he added.
OBC State Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra, SC State Coordinator Bodh Raj Bhagat, among other Apni Party leaders like Sardeesh Rana, Palav Sangral and others.
