“We have seen that students from poor families were without light during the power cuts and finding to difficult to continue their studies in night time.
With the help of a philanthropist namely Braham Ratan Aggrawal, we have received these solar lights to facilitate the need of students and teachers,” he added.
Pradip Ji, BSS J&K Oragnizing Secretary while sharing his thoughts expressed that during the Covid-19 times many philanthropists came forward to help the suffering masses and even common masses exhibited great spirits in helping each other. He said, “Free distribution of solar lights among the students from BPL families is one such step in the same direction. The students residing in remote areas and those belonging to BPL families need proper lighting facilities during night time to continue studies and we are trying our best to mitigate their sufferings to some extent.
“We have 36 schools across J&K and Ladakh UTs, and the solar lights will be distributed at these places,” he added.
