JKTF reiterates long pending demands

Jammu, Dec 29: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria State Chairman, JKTF which was attended by more than three hundred Office bearers of Zones Arnia, Bishnah, Miran Sahib, R.S. Pura, Satwari and Gandhi Nagar besides the Central body, Provincial body and District body members of Jammu.
In the session a threadbare discussion was held on the burning issues and the long pending demands of the different cadres of the teaching community which include the following DPC of all cadres in the meeting it was impressed upon the higher authorities to conduct the DPC of class IV to Lab. Asstt. And Lib. Asstt., Lab. Asstt. To Teacher, Teacher to Master, Master to Headmaster and lecturer in all streams.
Regularisation of I/C cadres:- The meeting urges upon the Administrative Secretary School Education Deptt. for the regularisation of I/C Headmasters, Lecturers, Principals and other higher cadres. Filling up of Vacant Posts of Headmasters, Principals and ZEOs:- This meeting demands for the filling up of all the vacant posts of DDOs including Headmasters, ZEOs and Principals as many of the schools and offices are suffering a lot due to the non-availability of the DDOs. Sanction of UT Pay Scales:- it was urged upon by all the participants in the meeting that all the employees of the School Education Department are placed in far below pay scale as compared to their counterparts in the rest of the Country. The meeting demanded to place the Teachers, Masters, Headmasters, Lecturers and Principals in the pay scale at par with their counterparts of the other Union Territories of the Country.
