AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme will revolutionize healthcare system across J&K: Kavinder

Jammu, Dec 29: Apart from witnessed completion and initiation of number of developmental projects across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir; BJP led government at the Centre and UT administration has launched diverse schemes for public welfare.
The Central and UT sponsored schemes have benefited the people to a large extent and more schemes launched by the Central government led by PM Modi would harness further benefits among the masses, Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta said while interacting with delegations here today.
Pinning towards recently launched AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme for the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, He said that the scheme would revolutionize the healthcare system across the UT. “The healthcare system which remained the victim of successive previous governments would achieve new heights in the BJP government,” Kavinder said.
The senior BJP leader said that AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme a flagship programme is envisaged to provide health insurance cover to each family across J&K up to Rs 5 lakh in empanelled government and private hospitals of the nation. “Its launch proved to be a historic day and will benefit as many as one crore eligible people on the basis of Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011.
The beneficiaries will get the Universal Healthcare Coverage (UHC),” Kavinder said and added that the people would get what they were deprived of by the previous regimes.
The delegation members apprised the former Deputy Chief Minister of various issues pertaining to the masses including languishing works in their respective areas.
Besides, apprising him of several issues they face unscheduled and frequent power cuts amid bone chilling winter, irregular water supply and other related issues.
The senior BJP leader listened to their issues keenly and assured them that their problems will be solved immediately after being taking up with the concerned heads. He also appealed to the people to cooperate with the administration while carrying out different developmental works across Jammu.
