SSK organises unique online Shardalipi contest

JAMMU, Jan 2: Sharda Section of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra (SSK), Anand Nagar, Bohri, Jammu, organized a unique online 'Card Making Competition in Sharda Lipi' for the students who could read and write Shardalipi, the results of which were declared here today. As many as 30 entries were received from across the country by the organisers for this unique competition, the sole aim of which was to promote Sharda script across the globe.
Sanatan Thusoo, son of Sant Ji Thusoo (Jammu); Chaitanya Pandita, son of Dilip Pandita (Uhampur) and Khushi Pandita, daughter of Dilip Pandita (Udhampur) emerged first, while Aryan Pandita, son of Sushil Pandita(Jammu) and Tanishq Bhat, son of Ajay Bhat (Jammu) were adjudged second and the duo of Rushil Dhar, son of Bharat Bhushan Dhar (Hyderabad) and Sherilyn Bhat, daughter of Rakesh Bhat (Jammu) were decleared third. A special prize was given to youngest participant Abhyank Handoo, son of Ankur Handoo (Haryana); while Tanishqa Bhat (Jammu);Hitika Pandita, daughter of Sanjay Kumar Pandita (Jammu) and Satvik Dhar, son of Sanjay Dhar, (Punjab) received consolation prizes.
The participation /merit certificates and Holy Shrimadbhagwat Gita were given to Aanika Raina (New Delhi), Shivansh Raina (Pune), Shirin Bhan (Jammu), Darshan Patil (Ahmedabad), Tanishtha Raina (Faridabad), Manasvi Pandita (Jammu), Leisha Raina (Jammu), Vaibhav Kar(Gurgaon ) and Shavac Raina (Vessu Srinagar) .
A panel of Shardalipi experts who performed as adjudicators included Satish Pandita, Principal and Shardalipi Teacher from J&K; Bushan Ji Chauhan, renowned Artist and Shardipi Teacher from Gujarat and Sushma Ji, Educationist and Shardalipi Teacher from Punjab.
Ashok Ji Khazanchi (Social Activist and Shardalipi Expert) and Mohan Lal Raina (Ex Principal and Shardalipi Teacher) were the main organisers of the event.
Those who got first, second and third prize were awarded with a calligraphy pen set, a Bhagwat Gita, a trophy and a certificate each, however, the size of the trophy was different as per the merit of the winners.
