Issue formal order for withdrawal of anti Jammu employment notification: Harsh Dev
“Mere tweet of a Minister has no legal sanctity”
1/3/2021 11:24:45 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 3: Seeking issuance of a formal order for withdrawal of employment notification relating to posts of Agricultural Production issued by SSB, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP chairman said that mere tweet of a minister was not sufficient as it had no legal sanctity.
He divulged that the said posts had been duly advertised by J&K Services Selection Board under a proper procedure after receiving a written requisition from the UT govt. The said posts had been duly approved by the competent authority in the UT govt before being advertised for filling up by the SSB. They could not, as such, be nullified by a mere tweet of a Minister, said Harsh Dev in a press conference today.
Accusing BJP of cheating youth of Jammu Singh said that such tweets were often made by BJP leaders to mislead gullible masses of the region. The govt must explain, in the first instance, as to why repeated cases of discrimination against the Jammu youth are surfacing post abrogation of Art 370.
Earlier also the select list of 690 candidates issued by Fire Services Deptt contained names of merely 70 candidates from Jammu region as against 620 from Kashmir. And in the present notification, there were merely 20 posts of Agriculture Assistants sanctioned for Jammu region as against 136 posts for Kashmir which speaks volumes about the extremely biased mindset of the rulers besides disregard for the aspirations of Jammu youth who are being used only for vote bank politics by BJP, said Singh.
Pointing further towards the tweet of Jitendra Singh, the NPP chairman said that the former has used the words “deferred/withdrawn” in the said tweet with regard to impugned advertisement notification. Harsh Dev said that the two words “deferred” and “withdrawn” have different connotations. What exactly Jitendra Singh means needs to be clarified by him, said Singh adding that only issuance of an official order by competent authority pertaining to withdrawal of the said notification would satisfy the youth of Jammu.
