SAMBA, Jan 3: Samba Police today reunited a mentally unsound person hailing from Himachal Pardesh with his family at PS Vijaypur. A Police party of PS Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during patrolling in the area, noticed one person wandering in Vijaypur Market in pathetic condition. The Police party brought the person to Police Station Vijaypur. The said person was unable to talk properly and later asked for food. After having meal, the said person disclosed his name as Ajay Kumar S/o Tilak Singh, age about 33 yrs, R/O Samu, Tehsil Chhuadi, District Chamba, Himachal Pardesh and other particulars about his family. Immediately, SHO PS Vijaypur telephonically established contact with his father who informed that his son went missing three days back in Jammu area when they came here. They searched for him but could not trace him and returned back to Himachal Pradesh. Today the father of said missing person, namely Tilak Singh came to PS Vijaypur and SHO handed over his son after completing all legal formalities.
The father expressed his gratitude to Samba Police for reuniting his missing son with the family.
