SGRDS Bahu Fort celebrates birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule

JAMMU, Jan 3: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (SGRDS) Bahu Fort, Jammu celebrated the birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Mata Savitribai Phule by organizing a competition of students on the life and mission of Phule and Mata Rama Bai Ambedkar. Sixty one students took part in the competition. The meritorious students will be given prizes on 26th January 2021. These students were provided books on life and mission of Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule and Mata Rama Bai Ambedkar. The function was organized under the Chairmanship of Dr. Vijay Shivgotra.
While speaking on this occasion Sham Lal Basson – General Secretary Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabah Bahu Fort, Jammu said that Mata Savitri Bai Phule was first lady teacher of India. She was born on 3rd January 1831 at Naigaon in Satara district of Maharastra.
Dr Shivgotra conducted the written competition along with Subash Chander and Suresh Kumar Bangotra. He threw light on the life and struggle of Mata Rama Bai Ambedkar. Those who paid tributes to Jyotirao Phule and Krantijyoti Mata Savitri Bai Phule included Suresh Kumar (Kala), Retd. Col. Mohan Lal, Vikas Kalsi, Sham Lal Kalsi, Rajesh Kumar (Kala), Subash Chander, Pathi Ramesh Chander and Rajinder Kumar.
