Jammu district volleyball premier league underway

Jammu, Jan 24: On the third day of Jammu district premier volleyball league being organized by J&K sports council in collaboration with Volleyball Association of J&K, four matches were played today at play field Shastri Nagar Jammu.
In all top six teams of Jammu district are in the fray in this prestigious league being conducted by J&K UT for the first time for four identified games including volleyball.
In this championship many players have already represented J&K in various national championships.
Jammu district volleyball teams came from border areas namely Planwala, Allah, Akhnoor, Selehar besides local teams are displaying their skills of the game for clinching Jammu district volleyball league championship in the first phase.
Vijay Kumar Magotra general secretary Volleyball Association of J&K was the chief guest, who was introduced with players, teams, officials on the occasion, amongst dignitaries
Ashok Singh Divisional sports officer JKSC who is nominated as nodal officer for the purpose, supervised the event.
Today's matches were officiated by a panel of VFI national referees Bawana Sharma, Amarjeet Singh, Aashiq Hussain Mulak Raj Sharma and Imtiaz Ahmed. The results of the matches are as under Match no 1- Allah Volleyball Club beat Pinto Club Akhnoor by 3-2 sets, score 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, 18-25 and 15-11. Match no 2- Pinto Club Jammu beat Trikuta Salehar by 3-0 sets , score 25-18,25-11,25-19. Match no 3- Border Lines Planwala beat Jammu Spikers by 3-0 sets , scores 25-18,25-20,25-17 and Match no 4- Border Lion Planwala beat Pinto Club Akhnoor by 3-0 sets score 25-11,25-18,25-16.
