1/24/2021 11:40:16 PM
early times report
jammu, Jan 24: Amid Kalakote administration's failure to retrieve, encroached building of old hospital Kalakote, some people taking advantage of Sunday holiday, today tried to encroach upon a portion of land belonging to CHC Kalakote, in broad daylight.
The local informed this correspondent that few people along with machines (JCB) trespassed into the hospital's land and started digging works with machines. "However, Block Medical Officer, Kalakote acting swiftly sought Tehsildar's intervention into the matter and temporarily work on said land has been stopped by the administration.
"With due regards and humble submission, it is being brought in your kind notice that Surinder Singh Bharti is illegally, encroaching the hospital land and forcibly digging the area with JCB today at 12.05 P.M., So your goodself is kindly requested to intervene into the matter to stop encroachment of hospital area and pass necessary directions to SHO Kalakote & Municipality EO for necessary action against the encroacher till the land record is verified", letter written by BMO Kalakote to Tehsildar Kalakote read.
Official sources told that two days back a team of Revenue, Health and Police officials visited the old hospital's building and removed temporary fencing around the building, but the encroachers re-fenced the area after some time. "On 22nd January, the special team during anti-encroachment drive did photography and identified some new encroachments taking place in adjoining areas, but showing thumbs to authorities, the alleged encroacher of hospital building again fenced the area same day", officials' part of anti-encroachment drive informed this correspondent.
Rakesh Sharma, Tehsildar Kalakote told Early Times that works on said piece of land has been stopped today. "On basis of BMO Kalakote's complaint I visited the spot along with SHO Kalakote, and works on site have been stopped", he said, adding that other party, which was carrying out works has been asked to appear at Tehsildar's office with documents, if they have any.
