Dharmarth Trust employees take out rally

JAMMU, Jan 29: Despite continued protest for the last 60 days and chain hunger strike for the last 33 days, J&K Government is acting as mute spectator towards their demand, alleged Dharmarth Trust employees while taking out a rally in the city of Temples.
Dharmarth Trust employees agitated in support of their demands of constitution of a public board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust.
A large number of Dharmarth Trust employees along with Pujaris wearing traditional dress took out a rally amidst beating bells, blowing Shankh and chanting Vedic Mantras.
The rally was started from Ranbireshwar Temple and after passing through to Indra Chowk, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Parade culminated at Ranbireshwar Temple.
"The main motive of the rally organised by association is to make the people of Jammu and other religious associations aware to save the Dogra culture and Sanatan Dharam which is in danger due to misdeeds of trustee who indulging to loot Dharmarth Trust property with both hands," said Pujari Sanjeev Sharma, press secretary of the association.
Further addressing the gathering, president of the Association, Vivek Bandral said the mismanagement by Trustees has created strong resentment in general public and specially in Hindu community. She added that Trustee sold multi-lakh Kanals of land belonging to different places and different temples and even they lifted treasury of Shri Raghunath Temple in day light on Jammu 15, 1992 and also lifted Neelam Shivling from Shiv Nav Temple, Mubarak Mandi sale the same in Bombay for about Rs 65 crore.
Thakur Karnail Chand founder and chief spokesperson of Dharmarth trust employees association strongly alleged Trustee for selling thousand of Kanals of land, building belonging to different places to non Hindus such they sold 94 Kanals 7 Marlas land to Arif Sultana Dev, son of Mohd Srinagar temples land situated at Lar, Tehsil and district Ganderbal and in Jammu District Rajouri village Thuddi about 1674 Kanals land which was Dharmarth land and sold to Alfaz Hussain, Mukhtir Ahmed under Khasra No. 239 and under Khasra No 127 sold to Tasveer Hussain, Farooq Hussain, Akhtar Hussain, Mohd Aslam all village Thuddi Rajouri and also they sold old office of Dharmarth Trust namely Ranbir Bhawan which was the land and property of Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir Srinagar.
Meanwhile, those who sat on hunger strike today include Pt Deepu Sharma, Pt Makhan Lal, Ashok Verma, Shiv Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Mohan Lal, Karan Singh, Pawan Singh, Neelam Sharma and Vandana Kumari.
