JAMMU, Jan 29: Referring to the blockade of road near Prem Nagar, tehsil Thathri, district Doda by the men & women of the area raising slogans against district administration as also local tehsildar & SHO, the Aam Aadmi Party J&K, Jammu, in press release issued here, has claimed that there appears a strong nexus between the authorities & the sand mafia, who are hand in glow with one another and usurping loaves & fish in the name of procuring "royalty" from the contractors & virtually nothing goes to the coffers of the Government of J&K UT.
The AAP in a press release issued here have said that it is only because of the said nexus that prices of sand and bajri has increased around 4 times & the booty is being distributed among the contractors, local and also district administration and construction company at particular point. This sort of confusion and exploitation exists throughout J&K, which needs to be curbed with iron hand by the Governor administration without any further delay. |
