Mayor honours Corona warriors for their selfless services to society

Jammu, Jan 29: The Corona warriors are valuable assets of the society, who risked their lives for the wellbeing of others and their inspiring journey will continue to motivate others for a long time to come, Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta said as he facilitated several frontline workers here today.
At a simple but impressive function organised by Rohit Seth, President All J&KNHM Employees Association Jammu on behalf of thousands NHM Employees in the office of the CMO Jammu, Mayor Gupta honoured a number of Corona warriors for the selfless services provided by them in the fight against COVID-19, during ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic.
The Mayor acknowledged the hardwork and selfless service rendered by these warriors and honoured them with Appreciation Certificates
The recipients include J P Singh- CMO Jammu; Rameshwar Singh Bani, Chanderlekha Gupta, Mridula Gupta, Naveen Bhutyal, Meenakshi Manhas (nodal officers); Manohar Lal Rana-BMO Marh; Jai Singh, Tasildar Janipur, Surjeet Kumar Duty Magistrate Jammu Khas, Rohit Seth-Pharmacist NHM; Neetu Pandita-Lab Technician; Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Retired I/C Assistant Entomologist; Gutam Singh- Block Accounts Manager, Madan Lal Sharma- Pharmacist, Pawan Singh Jamwal- SHI and social activist Madhuri Raina among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Chander Mohan Gupta lauded the role played by the recipients of the Appreciation Certificates in the fight against Covid-19. “These people are valuable assets of the society, who risked their lives for the wellbeing of others. These certificates are just a token of my gratitude towards them,” he said.
The Mayor called upon the youth and other members of the society to take inspiration from these people and offer their services for the betterment of the society. The Mayor also appreciated and thanked Rohit Seth and Rameshwar Singh for rendering invaluable services in the fight against Covid-19 since its outbreak in Jammu and Kashmir, and also for organizing this Programme.
“Rohit Seth too, has remained active in recognizing the Corona warriors and getting their efforts acknowledged and rewarded suitably,” he added.
