Bihshnah, Jan 29: The Urdu Department of Government Degree College Bishnah Organised an International Mushaira on the theme “Jashne Jamhuria”; Celebration of Democracy. The Urdu poets from different parts of the world participated and presented their ghazals. The programme was organised on zoom platform, hosted by Irfan Arif and Sunil Kumar Sudan, Assistant Professors of Urdu from SPMR College of Commerce and GDC Bishnah. Principal GDC Bishnah Dr Anuradha Pandu presented the welcome address. In her address she welcomed the guests from different countries for their participation in the event and emphasized on the regular conduct of such events in the college. She also encouraged the students for their active participation in such events.
The hosts introduced the poets which were participated in the Mushaira Mr. Pritpal Singh Betab(Jammu), Tasneem hassan (United Kingdom), Riyaz Sagar (UP),Aiman Ambreen (Oman), Saurabh Sadaf (Delhi), Sarwar Ghazali (Berlin), Jagjit Kafir (Ludhiana), Amardeep Singh (Patiala), Irfan Aarif (Jammu),Naveed Anjum (UP).
The Mushaira was presided by Urdu poet of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Prithpal Singh Betaab. Being presiding , Pritpal Singh Betaab also recited two ghazals which were appreciated by the audience. The Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Jb Talat Parvez Rohilla also participated in this event as an audience to complement the efforts made by the institution. While the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Sudesh Kumar Assistant Professor in, Department of Urdu of Government Degree College Bishnah. |
