ICAI organizes Super Sixes Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Branch of the NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted a Super Sixes Cricket tournament for Chartered Accountants at K C Sports Club Cricket Ground, Jammu on January 29 and 30.
Eight Teams participated in the tournament consisting of Chartered Accountants and CA students. Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta was the chief guest while Avny Lavasa, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, was the guest of honour on the inaugural session.
On day one, Team Neon Green, headed by CA Shalay Razdan, Team Yellow headed by CA Sahil Malhotra, Team Dark Green headed by CA Jatin Wahi and Team Neon Orange headed by CA Jatin Malhotra advanced into semi-finals by defeating Team Grey headed by CA Akshay Jandyal, Team Light Green headed by CA Raghav Sabharwal, Team Orange headed by CA Nakul Saraf & Team Blue headed by CA Ram Krishan Gupta respectively.
On second day in the first Semi-final, Team Dark Green defeated Team Yellow and in the Second Semi-final Team Neon Orange defeated Team Neon Green and advanced into the finals for the summit clash. In the finals, Team Dark Green lifted the trophy by defeating the Team Neon Orange. Team Dark Green gave a target of 75 runs to Team Neon Orange and in reply Team Neon Orange could score only 66 runs.
Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, President J&K Olympic Association & Vice President Indian Olympic Association, Jammu, was the Chief Guest, Rajan Sharma, Hony General Secretary
J&K Amateur Boxing Association and S K Sharma, Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, were the Guest of Honour on the occasion. They handed over the winners' trophy to the Winning Captain CA. Jatin Wahi.
