Delegations of DTEA, Dharmarth Trust Management call on Div Com

JAMMU, Feb 10: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma on Wednesday called the meeting of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association representatives and Dharmarth Trust management in which president of trust Ajay Gandotra and Secretary Gopal Parthshastri and President of the association, Vivek Bandral, Rajender Shastri (working President), Sanjeev Kumar (vice president), Sunit Sharma (General Secretary) and Jagjit Singh (Cashier) participated.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu intervene to settle and resolved the issues between Dharmarth Trust management and employees but employees association rejected all offers made by trust management and alleged that employees of trust demanding removal of present management and constitute of shrine board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust and merge the same with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine Board by the UT government then they come on talk/negotiation with new management of trust otherwise agitation will continue.
Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma heard both the parties and also requested the striking employees that the Shivaratri festival coming and they should cooperate to celebrate the same and employees’ representatives assured the Divisional Commissioner that they are ready to celebrate Shivaratri and will also join this function in spite of agitation which is our moral duty.
The Pujaris confirmed to Divisional Commissioner Jammu that all temples will open for daily Pooja Arti in morning and evening.
Meanwhile, the ongoing protest entered 72th day and a chain hunger strike entered in 45th day in support of their demands to constitute a shrine board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust. Those who sat on hunger strike today include Pritam Lal, Tribhawan, Ravinder Singh, Subash, Sachin Kumar, Gopal, Faquir Chand, Ashok Kumar and Kali Dass.
