BJP stands for Sufi-Rishi culture of J&K: Dr Andrabi

SRINAGAR, Feb 10: BJP leader and party spokesperson Dr Darakhshan Andrabi was today accorded a warm welcome by the people of Kund valley in Kulgam for her successful efforts for bringing Kund valley on the Tourism map of J&K.
Dr Andrabi was felicitated by the people. It is pertinent to mention that Dr Andrabi had promised the people last month about Kund valley being included in the tourism map of J&K and had submitted a Mmemorandum to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who accepted the demand and last week the area was declared as a tourist destination.
During her visit to Kund today Dr Andrabi was accompanied by BJP District President Kulgam Aabid Hussain Khan and other party leaders and workers. Dr Darakhshan is on a two day visit to the area. Addressing a huge gathering of locals, Dr Andrabi thanked LG for accepting the long pending demand of the people of Vasaknag Kund area. She said that this decision will uplift the area economically beyond imagination.
She also visited the newly constructed 6. 3 MVA PDD Grid Station at Chowgam and assured the people that that station will be commissioned soon. She said that it will help 24 thousand families in the area. Dr Andrabi said that the big issue of drinking water scarcity in the area will be dealt with by the government soon.
She also visited the famous shrine of Hazrat Noor Shah Bagdadi (ra) at Churat and praised the local Shrine Committee for nice maintenance and management of the Ziyarat. Speaking to the people at the shrine Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that amid transformations of all kinds, the Narendra Modi led central government was seriously considering the proposal of declaring all sufi-shrines as the spiritual tourism destinations in J&K.
She thanked the BJP leadership of J&K for their support in her moves related to public issues and demands. Dr Darakhshan said that BJP was the only political party which believes in positive practical contribution in the welfare of the people of J&K. She said BJP stands for the Sufi-Rishi culture of J&K and it will continue to strengthen this magnificent peaceful ideology in Jammu & Kashmir.
