ADC Doda reviews performance of Jal Shakti department

DODA, Feb 10: The performance of the Jal Shakti department (PHE) was today reviewed with regard to the progress under Jal Jeevan Mission, Languishing project scheme, B2V-1 works and District Capex budget, here at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Kishori Lal Sharma. The Superintendent Engineer, Hydraulics apprised the meeting that 31 DPRs, below 1 Cr, under JJM are under examination and are at the stage of submission. He was asked to expedite the process and submit the DPRs to the concerned within 10 days positively and submit the list of same to the DC office.
The SE further apprised the meeting that the Panchayat Paani Samitis, have been already constituted at Panchayat levels in the district. While reviewing the coverage of uncovered schools, the CEO Doda apprised the meeting that the DPR was submitted, but due to the over proposed estimated cost, the same has been reverted back by the Directorate to modify the estimated cost as per the availability of funds.
The ADC directed the SE to revisit the DPR and submit the same to the concerned quarters so that funds are released and the work shall be completed under time bound manner.
Regarding languishing works, the SE informed the meeting that against 32 approved projects 7 have been completed and work on others is at different stage.
The ADC directed the department to speed up the progress, besides evaluate all the ongoing works to identify the bottlenecks impeding the progress and to submit the same to the concerned authorities for immediate redress.
The ADC further asked the department to secure the forest clearance of the proposed projects, so that compiled list shall come before the DLC for immediate redressal. Regarding District Capex, the meeting was informed that 14 schemes were approved out of which 4 have been completed, 4 are under progress and 6 are at tendering stage. The ADC directed the functionaries to expedite the progress and to ensure 100% expenditure by the end of financial year. The progress and execution of PHE works, identified under B2V-1 was also reviewed. The meeting was attended by SE Hydraulics, CPO Doda, CEO Doda, TO SE Hydraulics, AEE's, TSWO Doda, Range Officer Doda Division, besides other concerned.
