Poonch, Feb 17: The Public Works (Road and Building) Department Poonch has allegedly made double entry in tendering of a community bunker in tehsil Balakote of the district.
Sources told Early Times that the first time when the department tendered around 200 community bunkers for in the border areas of the district, the around 45 beneficiaries, which were shown at that time, were again used in next tendering.
As per documents the PWD repeated serial numbers of beneficiaries, which can be gauged from documents that from S. No. 37 to 68 has been repeated at S. No. 110-141 in Dharati, from S. No. 69 to 73 has been again in the list at S. No. 142-147 for village Panjani.
Similarly bunkers from S.No. 74 to 84 have been repeated at S. No. 148-160. Moreover, S. No. 188 is missing from the list. Even the bunkers which were shifted by the department to other locations could not be traced out by the locals.
When contacted Executive Engineer PWD Poonch expressed his ignorance of the matter by saying that the issue is very old. Meanwhile, ADC Poonch Bhasharat, who is also incharge district vigilance said that he has just joined the posting but assured that he would inquire about the issue. |
