DDC Rajouri reviews progress on Power Sector projects

RAJOURI, Mar 8: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Monday reviewed the progress on JPDCL projects being executed in the district, here at a meeting with the concerned officers and contractors. The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Superintending Engineer Project Circle JPDCL, Neeraj Sharma; Project Manager Reliance New Delhi and Project Manager Power Tech Engineering Noida. The DDC took a detailed review of the physical and financial status of the projects being undertaken under various schemes like IPDS, PMDP Urban, DDUGJY and PMDP Rural in the district. While reviewing the progress on PMDP rural, it was informed that as many as 04 receiving stations are being constructed 74 transformers were to be installed in the rural areas of the district. Of these 33 transformers stand installed and the work on one receiving station out of four is complete, the meeting was told. The DDC asked the concerned project Manager to complete the installation of 25 remaining transformers by March 25. About DDUY, it was apprised that out of 19 new creations including transformers and receiving stations, the work on 15 is complete and the rest are under different phases of execution. The DDC set the deadline of 15 April this year to complete the work of all the pending creations. Regarding the PMDP urban, the meeting was informed that out of 25 transformers to be installed in Sunderbani town, the work on 15 is complete in all respects. In Nowshera town against the target of 23 transformers, the work on 13 is complete. Similarly in Rajouri and Thanamandi town, against the target of 36 transformers in Rajouri and 14 transformers in Thanamandi, the work of 18 transformers in both the towns is complete.
