Climate Front holds Climate Strike in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh

Jammu , Mar 19: Acting on the Global call for Climate Strike. Climate Front Jammu, Climate Front Kashmir & Climate Front Ladakh, under the aegis of their National Parent Body Climate Front India, held a Climate Strike across different regions of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh. The Global climate Strike was held across 150+ countries across the world, and was also held in different parts of India, including J&K and Ladakh.
In Jammu, the strike was held at Prese Club, Jammu and was attended by several people from different walks of life, all concerned for the welfare and betterment of the climate. Several slogans were raised and statements made, with a demand for Stem action against environmental defaulters by the authorities. 'We need to act for climate now. We need to show our love and affection for the nature. and at the same time try to save our natural resources.
We want our future generations to live on this planet as well, and lead a normal and sustainable life. We need more people to join us, to save this game planet from misuse and degradation' said Aditya Khajuria, President, Climate Front Jammu. In Srinagar, the protest was organised at Islamia College, Hawal. Inspire of it being the first of its kind strike ever held in the Kashmir Region, the volunteers turned out in unexpected numbers. Pamphlets were distributed amongst people and awareness raised about climate and related issues. The strike was totally apolitical and the youth raised the, voices to support the Global Climate Strike.
In Ladakh, the strike was held at Skara Spang, Skara. Volunteers turned out and raised various slogans and banners. A March was also held and various youth lotted the day to raise the, voices for Climate.
