3/20/2021 12:32:11 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 19: After getting a green signal from the high-command, J&K Congress has decided not to invite loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad in any programme of AICC incharge J&K Rajni Patil who is reaching Srinagar on Saturday.
Patil will address functions in different areas of Kashmir Valley and Jammu province during her five-day stay in J&K. First time she will spend five days in J&K after her appointment as AICC incharge of the Union Territory.
“None of the Azad loyalists would be invited in any programme of Rajni Patil”, sources said and added that the party has decided to sideline all leaders who owe their allegiance with Azad. In Jammu, Patil is scheduled to lead a protest against hike in prices of essential commodities. She will also address a rally at Kathua in which Azad loyalists will be ignored.
Reliable sources said that Patil’s programme has especially been finalized to give a clear message to Azad that the party was not going to succumb before his pressure tactics. “After G-23 leaders rally in Jammu, Rajni Patil’s visit is significant because during her stay in J&K strategy would be devised to take on Azad’s loyalists”, sources said and added that high-command has already asked PCC chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir to tackle dissidents with strong action.
Meanwhile, according to an official handout issued this evening by the Congress, AICC Incharge for J&K is undertaking a five day’s tour of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has informed that Rajni Patil AICC Incharge will take stock of current situation in Jammu and Kashmir during her five day’s tour to J&K from 20th March 2021.
AICC Incharge will review the organizational affairs and activities. She (Rajni Patil) will also interact with party cadres in Pulwama at 12.30 PM then she is scheduled to interact with party workers of Srinagar at Party office (MA Road) at 3 PM on Saturday.
On Sunday, Patil will interact with Congress workers at Lolab in Kupwara District, and then she will interact with party cadres of Baramulla at Dak Bunglow Baramulla at 3 PM.
