| Chairman PCB lauds role of We The Humans; annual Newsletter released | | |

JAMMU, Mar 19: In a function, today, organized by We The Humans Forum for Nature and Mankind in lawns of Vedas Banquets and Event Destination, Top Sherkhania Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Chugh Chairman JK Pollution Control Board lauded constructive role being played by "We The Humans" in spreading awareness about different important issues related to environment and humanity.
Chugh said that "We The Humans", a public charitable trust, is not only making people aware about different malice posing threat to our environment but also regularly interacting with the government agencies to make J&K UT really a environment smart UT. He also appreciated initiative taken by Er S C Dutta in introducing non plastic Poly Lactic Acid based compostable packaging technology at Birpur Samba J&K.
Earlier, KYS Manhas Chairman "We The Humans", while welcoming dignitaries, said that during pandemic period members/ volunteers of "We The Humans" remained continuously in touch with public, made them aware about the COVID19 protocol and distributed 250 quintals of ration to the distressed people besides the hygiene kits
Awards for their remarkable contributions towards protecting environment were presented to Er S C Dutta, Sunil Singh DFO, Ashwani Kumar DFO, Anju Koul District Officer Sericulture Department, renowned bird observer & photojournalist Guldev Raj and Range Officer Rakesh Verma. Women of The Year (2020) Award J&K UT was presented to Pooja Gupta MD Himalayan Bio Organics Pvt Ltd, having brand of NIMBARK ORGANICS for her role played in empowering women and providing livelihood to more than 15000 women in J&K and her remarkable efforts made to help families in distress during COVID19 peak times in J&K.
Earlier, 20 pages annual Newsletter (2020-2021) of We The Humans was released by the dignitaries, which has different sections including thought provoking articles by Prof R D Sharma former Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, Sahib Aggarwal leading Advocate, Dr. Prashant Bakshi, Prem Singh, Shivani Anand prominent poetess and O P Verma.
