Jammu, Mar 19: HIV/AIDS and drug de-addiction awareness programs were organized by Himalaya Sewa Sang, Jammu in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir AIDS control society, department of health and medical education at Sanjay Nagar and Narwal Pain Jammu. A large number of youths from the adjoining areas participated in the program. Dr Yogesh as resource person made the youth aware about HIV/AIDS issues. Various misconceptions like mosquito bites can not spread HIV, sharing clothing cannot spread HIV etc were cleared by Yogesh. The youth being the most vulnerable as for as HIV/AIDS is concerned, the speaker also emphasized them regarding the drug de-addiction program and voluntary blood donation for the welfare and betterment of community. |
