GGF J&K organizes COVID-19 medical-cum-awareness camp

JAMMU, Mar 22: Gandhi Global Family, J&K organized 300th Covid-19 medical-cum-awareness camp in the premises of Govt Women's College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Dr Sangeeta Nagari, principal of the college inaugurated the camp along with Prof G.M Bhat, Prof. of Geology University of Jammu, Sohail Kazmi journalist, Rev.Father Yessudeep Sandhu, Jaswinder Singh Kuku, Soba Ram, Wilson, Rajesh Bhatti, Prajapati, Manish Joshi, Er.S.K Vaid, Hayat Sheikh and dozens of professors, associate professors, assistant professors and hundreds of students were present during the camp.
Over 1350 people were given medicines by Dr Garima Sharma, MO and pharmacist Nishad Khajuria. Earlier, awareness on Covid-19 was also conducted by the team of doctors deputed by ISM Deptt.
While speaking on the occasion Padmashri Dr S.P Varma, President GGF,J&K expressed his satisfaction and happiness on completion of 300th camp today in a period of one year in collaboration with ISM Deptt. Since the announcement of COVID-19 pandemic by the PM in India on 22nd March 2020, the civil society organisation, through the GGF Relief and Response Team locally led by GGF J&K President Padmashri Dr.S.P Varma, has strived to reach over one lakh ten thousand benefitting souls, initially from providing ration kits to the needy families and later providing relief by distributing immunity boosters in all the 20 districts of the UT.
Varma expressed his gratitude towards the Govt. of India particularly the Ministry of Ayush, J&K Govt. under the guidance of LG Manoj Sinha, ISM Deptt. for providing immunity boosters and deputing doctors throughout the length and breadth of J&K UT for organizing these relief camps.
